Feel free to reblog on Tumblr, but I'd appreciate doing so from here.

Process Video is up!

I beat Skyward Sword again last night. Even though it was a speed run just to get back to Hero Mode (since our former Wii died) you just can't help becoming personally invested in the story. I don't know how he does it, but Miyamoto nails it each time--and not just every game, but every single time you play the game! Kudos, man...just kudos. ALL the feels...

This particular moment illustrates something no one sees when they play the game. When Link takes his first trip to the Silent Realm, I often wonder if Fi worries about him--in her own calculating way. Maybe, maybe not, but regardless I get the feeling that she is glad to see him return successfully after his Trial.

EDIT: Here's a poem by LittlewriterLink inspired by this moment.

I couldn't agree more with your sentiment! I grew up avidly watching my brother play the N64 Zelda games and I was utterly mesmerized by them, but I never had the courage to play them myself, despite delving deep into the lore of the games & considering myself a huge fan (even cosplaying as purple Link!). I finally started playing through the series over the last few years and Skyward Sword has been one of the biggest standouts. I love that game so deeply and I found it to be the most rewarding Zelda experience I've had aside from /finally/ playing through Ocarina of Time on my own when I started this Zelda journey.

I have to admit that I despised playing through the Silent Realms with every fiber of my being- I literally had heart palpitations and I had to follow a video walkthrough for each one because within minutes my nerves would be shot; but damn, that game is a masterpiece and I respect the heck out of those silent realms (unlike the Temple of the Ocean King in Phantom Hourglass /major side-eye/). I'm unsure as to why SS falls short on so many people's lists of favourite/best Zelda games.

I only have one Zelda game left to play on my list: Breath of the Wild. I've never played an open-world game before because I like not being thrown into the deep end; I like a little hand- holding, so I'm a bit nervous to start the game. I'm not sure how involved Miyamoto was in BOTW but I'm sure his legacy will inspire incredible Zelda games for many years. This is a wonderful tribute piece of Zelda fanart! And apologies for the long comment- I have no one to talk about Zelda with IRL so I tend to gush about it online whenever I get the chance.
