Anyone who can tell me where this particular fight is taking place, and who the other participant in the fight is, based on only the picture and title, shall recieve an automatic UBER AWESOME status from me, simply because it means you've read this amazing book. Oh and spoiler warning for those who are partway through--though something has already been spoiled in the nature of the picture anyhow. *shrug*

This is a character, scene, and intensely awesome moment from the first book in Brandon Sanderson's epic fantasy trilogy, Mistborn. For anyone who's only now heard the name, READ IT! I command you! You will not be disappointed!

All right, while I can't gush over the series enough, I 'll stop for the sake of your sanity. This is my take on a particularly nasty character in the book. I was upset to find that no one else seems to have taken an artistic shot at this moment--which, without giving away details, to me was one of the most awesome fight scenes in the book. Alas, you'll have to deal with my attempt.

WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!..... Oh, right. She's dead. phew (for some reason, I'd pictured Shan blond, even though I know Sanderson said she had brown hair) Good job with the mist; you made it look really thick and scary.

:D Heh, thanks! I was going for the "lamplight making the mist opaque" look.

A lot of people seem to picture her blonde, though I always thought she had black hair. Guess I'm due for a re-read soon!

You're welcome. But, I'm sure you're in the right. I remember rereading that part where Vin meets Shan, and I recall reading that she had dark hair and I thought, "Oh, she had dark hair? I'd always pictured her blond." Though, I did the same thing with Sarene in Elantris (ever read it?).

a ball at venture manor. elend broke with vin. she grieved and had a conversation with the gossip lady, that told her, there will be an attact against elend. vin curses herself, because she can't ignore it, although elend hurt her that much. so she got off the manor into the mist finding shan elariel as a mistborn, too, trying to kill elend. fight. vin wins (haha), shan dies.
i think, this was the first time, vin killed another mistborn...

i like the way you visualized her cloak. most of other fanartists make them look really unpracticle...
