Description
Economy is essential to any city, and Sybal Heim is no exception. Basileus runs a stable circulation of currency through the city in a system designed to reward public servants, maintain cheap transportation services, but also to encourage tradecraft and entrepreneurship among citizens. Like any system, it has its flaws and those who try to cheat it, but the Organizer has had a very long time to improve upon it and adapt, resulting in a stable ebb and flow of wealth among the people of Sybal Heim. The coins themselves are made by Basileus, and contain a trace amount of dark material that cannot be reproduced by human means, greatly reducing the risk of counterfeit.

Notes:
We haven't designed the actual coins yet, but we'll update this page when we do! The pluralization of each unit is: Obols, Drachma, Dekadram, Mina, and Talents. Since you can't actually type these symbols, you can use the above abbreviations in (parenthesis) next to the units. The most common monetary unit when counting is the Drachma. You're more likely to hear someone selling something for 15 drachma, rather than 1.5 dekadram. You tend to see the separation where the symbols differ, for instance: 2m 45dr 2ob (which is 245.4 Drachma, or roughly $613.50). OHMATH. THEPAIN. "Dram" is a colloquial/slang name for Drachma. Analogous to "dough" or "bucks".
