I'm no longer a teen (granted...calling myself "teen" before was a bit of a stretch). And lo, I am not magically different! It goes to show that numerical value has very little correlation to maturity; it depends on what you've experienced in those years. I've been very blessed with loyal, generous friends, a loving family, and spiritual gifts that I strive to use to spread the Love I've found in my Creator. I just hope I can weather the storms of life that I know are coming eventually...and maybe realize that as much as I love to draw, other things should take precedence occasionally.
Until then! Let us arty party!
In other news: I made the tough decision to withdraw from #Eden-OCT. I learned a lot and had so much fun working on it--and with all those awesome people--but I just can't let it eat any more of my summer. I really need to get back to Chronicles of a Villainess and other similar projects or my head will explode! So profuse apologies to those who were looking forward to seeing Zalost's story continue (well, apologies and thanks that you even care enough to be the slightest bit miffed). I was thinking of explaining the rest of the story as I would have written it, but I decided against it because there's a strong possibility that I will rewrite the context to be an entirely self-contained story. It would draw a lot of its structure from Eden, but that's inevitable, considering that Zalost only exists because of the tournament.
On that note, a HUGE thank you to *Iris-Angelus for creating such a fantastic OCT! And best of luck to the remaining Contestants! Especially ~Spirogs, my opponent, whom I believe deserved the victory in the first place for its character depth and exploration of the story.
All right, my good fellowes, I am off to draw!
--In case anyone is curious about how I go about my comic pages, and to clarify what these progress statuses (is that a word??) mean, I'll just run through it real quick. First I get the panels Sketched, then I start Inking them all (prettying up the lineart). I start Coloring each panel after that, then finally go through and paint the Backgrounds. After Prettying Up the shading, I post it! It's a simple process on some pages, horrendously complicated on others...
