They set up the arena. Three cards on each side, patterned black and white backs staring upwards. The first turn was another draw, bringing more laughter to Marron’s lips. The second, though, was his loss. He groaned good-naturedly and conceded his pile to the victor, among them the familiar smile of Minister Tristine.

“Ah,” said Dusk. “That’s game.”

The Ashes arc finale is on the near horizon, so now is a great time to jump in and catch up! It's been so fun watching it unfold, and Dea is such a good writer, I can never say it enough.
